PETALING JAYA: Some schools have been found to be still conducting trial and final year examinations for PT3 students.

This is despite a video by the Examinations Syndicate requesting all school heads and administrators to stop these examinations for Form Three students, said National Union of the Teaching Profession secretary-general Harry Tan.

He also said teachers were confused about whether these trial and final year examinations were still allowed because there had been no clear directive from the ministry. This would prevent school heads and administrators from taking advantage of teachers in order to conduct their own informal “ranking” exercise among schools, he added.Tan also said the video stated that teachers would prepare their own examination questions according to the grade of the school from next year.
