Betraying Britain by supporting terrorism is one of the most ‘serious crimes a person can commit’, and those found guilty of doing so, should spend life behind bars, according to Jeremy Hunt.
Mr Hunt said: ‘We must be able to properly punish those who betray our country. Betraying Britain by supporting terrorism is one of the most serious crimes a person can commit.‘The current laws are not adequate to cover all the acts which should be treated as treason.‘Plotting against Britain and fighting for our enemies, is a direct assault on our whole society.
