WIMBLEDON fans have been warned about popping bubbly as corks have gone flying onto the court.when two corks went flying onto the green.Thousands queue in Wimbledon Park on day six of the Wimbledon ChampionshipsAnd as thousands descend on the championships today, Wimbledon officials have been forced to remind fans to uncork their bottles before play begins.

The menace of champagne corks also hit when one landed on Centre Court during a heated match between Rafael Nadal and Nick Kyrgios.A spokesman for Wimbledon said: “In our conditions of entry, it states that all corked bottles, including bottles of champagne and sparkling wine, must be opened prior to being taken into the stands of any court.”

A third said: "man almost getting his face blasted to smithereens by his champagne cork on No.3 Court. commentators screaming in terror. it's too early for this."
