Former A-G blames PM for loss of Pulau Batu Putih to Singapore

FORMER attorney-general Mohamed Apandi Ali has blamed Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad for the loss of a cluster of islets at the eastern entrance to the Singapore Strait, including Pulau Batu. In a Facebook posting, which was reposted and shared by former prime minister Najib Razak is his personal account today, Apandi said Dr Mahathir made the decision to withdraw the case, which was to be heard in the International Court of Justice in The Hague, the Netherlands, on June 11 last year, “without referring it to me or the cabinet”.
