Human rights activist, Femi Falana , at the weekend filed a suit at the Federal High Court, Abuja over alleged unremitted revenue totalling N12.721 trillion.

In the originating summons, Falana is asking the court to declare that by the express provisions of Sections 2 , and 3 of the NEITI Act, the first defendant is under a legal obligation to recover the unremitted sums of $22.06 billion and N481.75 billion owed the federal government by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation , the Nigeria Petroleum Development Company and other oil and gas companies operating in Nigeria.
