KUALA LUMPUR: The Malay Chamber of Commerce intends to take legal action against 18 members including the former deputy president Syed Hussein Alhabshee for alleged misuse of the chamber’s name and facilities.

“We are taking this action after the decision made by resolution at our annual meeting today,” he said. Rizal said a police report had been lodged and the chamber was awaiting further investigation by police. At the centre of the dispute between the chamber and the 18 members is an allocation of RM5 million from the Prime Minister’s Office.
