Four Kano kingmakers, Yusuf Nabahani, Madakin Kano, Abdullahi Sarki Ibrahim , Makama Kano, Bello Abubakar, Sarki Dawakin Mai Tuta and Muktar Adnan, Sarki Bai Kano, had instituted the suit against the Speaker, Kano House of Assembly, Kano State House of Assembly, Ganduje, Attorney General of the state, Tafida Abubakar Ila, Ibrahim A. Gaya, Ibrahim Abubakar II and Aminu Ado Bayero.
The kingmakers had dragged those listed above to court over the creation of new Emirates and appointment of Emirs by the Ganduje-led state government. However, during today’s hearing, the Plaintiffs’ Counsel, Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, and the Defence Counsel, Ibrahim Muktar agreed that the matter be adjourned.Against this backdrop, the presiding Judge, Justice Ahmed Tijjani Badamosi adjourned the case till July 16th for further hearing.dismissed an application of four Kano Emirate kingmakers to stop newly installed EmirsThe presiding judge, Justice Ahmed Tijjani Badamosi dismissed the application by the kingmaker’s counsel, Barr.
