Knifed schoolboy's pal seen praying 'with blood on his hands' by police bodycam

A KNIFED schoolboy's pal said to be involved in the murder of his friend Yousef Makki was seen praying "with blood on his hands" by a police bodycam, a court was told.

Boy B, captured crying at his mother's home, admits possessing a knife but denies conspiracy to rob and perverting the course of justice by allegedly telling a series of lies to officers so they wouldn't suspect his friend over the stabbing. His co-defendant, Boy A, also a boy of 17, admits he stabbed Yousef but denies murder, claiming he acted in self-defence.

During the fourth day of the trial at Manchester Crown Court, the jurors were shown police body-cam footage which showed Boy B at the scene of the stabbing wanting to be allowed to go home and asking 'how long do you think this process will take?'The boy replies: "Yes, this is an emergency.

The jurors were then shown body-worn video from PC Stefan Bielizna who escorted Boy B back to his home following the stabbing. The officer and the boy then sit at a kitchen table as Boy B, who has Yousef's glasses, gives an account of events that night. The youth says he and his friends had been "chillin" that night, claiming he had not seen the stabbing although he said he saw a grey car fleeing the scene.
