Lam hasn't been seen in public since issuing a televised apology for mishandling the extradition legislation, prompting legislator Kwok Ka-ki of the opposition Civic Party to suggest she request a long-term leave of absence. Pro-government supporters have a solid majority in the Legislative Assembly and the measure is not expected to pass.
