Rafizi Ramli has won this stage of his legal battle with NFCorp and Mohamad Salleh Ismail, but the next hurdle will be the Federal Court in July. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, June 24, 2019.
THE High Court in Kuala Lumpur today set aside leave granted to the National Feedlot Corporation Sdn Bhd and executive chairman Dr Mohamad Salleh Ismail to initiate contempt proceedings against PKR vice-president Mohd Rafizi Ramli, in connection with an article about NFCorp, posted by the former Pandan MP on his blog and Facebook.
Counsel Razlan Hadri Zulkifli, representing Rafizi, said the court ruled after finding that there was no basis to continue with the proceedings because the Court of Appeal had allowed his client’s appeal to set aside NFCorp and Salleh’s defamation suit against him.
