Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu of the Federal High Court Abuja, on Thursday, fixed September 30 for hearing in an application restraining the presidency from revoking firearm licences of Nigerians.

She, therefore, said the defendant should be put on notice in order to show cause, why the relief sought by the plaintiff should not be entertained. He further said the withdrawal of firearms from responsible citizens shall leave them vulnerable to incessant attacks from foreign elements purportedly assailing the country.

I'm sure there are many Nigerians who use firearms for substitence hunting not only as self-defense. Hunters can join the petition bcus their rights to earn a living had been violated also. Consider armed security guards for private companies.

Is self defense enshrined in the Nigerian Constitution?if yes, why do you not pressurized the government to do the right other than killing people who protested against bad governance and selfish law implementation and racism's and radicalism.
