Beginning on Sept. 1, people in Texas won't be criminally charged for possessing brass knuckles.

Texas Gov. Gregg Abbott signed the bill, HB446, into law on May 25.

The bill, sponsored by Democratic State Rep. Joe Moody, was approved unanimously through votes in both the state's House and Senate. Up until Sept. 1, knuckles will sit alongside other banned items, such as"explosive weapons" and"machine guns."

From my Cold Dead Hands

Why not? There’s not enough violence in America already.

America!!! The Land of the Free!!! Yay!!!

Huh, I didn’t know that before sept 1, you COULD be criminally charged for possessing brass knucks

But if you're liberal you can just pee on yourself and they will go away. Isn't that how it works?

Oh school yard fights are going to be serious now. In Arizona you can carry nunchucks. So will it be a change of simple assault or assault with intent to cause bodily injury, or assault with a deadly weapon?

Hope being bass ackwards pays off..

Oh no if they carry brass knuckles then crime will increase 100% for little enmity with these brass knuckles can kill also, that person who blows other will shout he wanted to kill me, please stop n protest against this

God bless Texas!!

Good! When I use to take the bus late at night to get home I had one in each pocket. Cali hoods ain't a joke. Pepper spray is nice but squeezing the knuckles in your pocket as you walk home from the bus stop helps level down the fear. Knuckle Up!

when I see this im so envious of the /citizens of Texas We on the East Coast can't even carry a Banana longer than 3 1/2 inches in our pockets.

Why would anyone bother. Everyone’s packing heat anyway.

It’s better than carrying a gun? Why is this any worse than carrying a knife? Am I missing something?

Nor, should they. Been around since the Roman caestus. Would you rather get hit with brass or a lead bullet?
