BREAKING: Court of Appeal sacks Ned Nwoko as PDP senator-elect

The court in a decision on Thursday said the case instituted at the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court which resulted in the recognition of Mr Nwoko as the winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission was wrongly filed.

It further ruled that the failure of the applicant at the lower court to file the case before the expiration of 14 days meant that the case had become statute barred and the lower court lacked jurisdiction to entertain the matter in the first place. INEC had withdrawn the certificate of return it issued to Mr Nwoko’s contender Peter Nwaoboshi, following the FHC decision.

Is this decision related to the child abuse marriage to a 17 year old? Bad example senator et al.

For legislators it ends at the appeal court

Regina will not like this

Why can’t they give it back to the second in the election. Double sided judgement with INEC.

Front or back, na PDP. Congratulations all d same.

Don't know what's wrong with some moneybags who think with cash anything is possible. There was a free & fair primary in which he participated & lost & then waited for someone to win the senatorial election before asking the court to declare him winner. Abeg congrats Nwaoboshi!

His goal digging wife 'bout to leave his old ass 😅😄

Eeyah! Our newlywed grandpa.

OLORIBURUKU SOMEBODY

This country judiciary is scrap!

At lease now you will use your money to be wasting on women and those yeyebrity not Nigeria money or fed allocation..😆😆

Now we'll know if Regina Daniel truly love Ned Nwoko or may be it was the wealth and the senatorial position that enticed her -- 'Aya Senator' 😆😄😁. The is the Acids Test of Love.

Na this kind matter mother inlaw dey take catch daughter inlaw witch ohhh begin label her bad luck

Hahahahaha he was busy marrying his granddaughter with all the money he has saved over the years 😀 Supreme Court loading

Hope our democracy is not in danger o,officialKolaO ,OfficialPDPNig

Is this good or not so good? Elections outcomes increasingly moving to courtroom to determine loser & winner. Is this an indication of progress/good system or failures leading to intervention & owing to the immaturity of the process & participants Why - our inability to count.
