A 16-year-old boy has been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of Azzam Raguragui in a south Dublin park earlier this month.
The Dundrum teen was treated at the scene by paramedics, before being rushed to St James’s hospital, where he was pronounced dead.Gardai charged a teenage boy today and brought him to appear before Judge Brendan Toale at the Dublin Children’s Court. He was detained under Section Four of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 but released from those provisions this morning and he was then charged at 12.14pm.
Judge Toale was furnished with a statement of the means from the boy’s father and legal aid was granted.Mr Dunphy consented to a State application for the boy to be remanded in custody to appear again at the Children’s Court on June 5 next.
