WASHINGTON—Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell made clear Tuesday that he would seek to confirm any nomination by President Trump to fill a Supreme Court seat that might open up next year, despite having blocked former President Obama’s high-court pick during an election year.
Speaking in stronger terms than he has used previously, Mr. McConnell said that the GOP-controlled Senate will consider a Supreme Court nominee if a seat on the high court becomes vacant in 2020.
Why in the media they point out congressional hypocrisy without saying how common it is? Nadler and Schiff flying cover for use of the Steele dossier for example. Yes the politicians are unprincipled. Now have the chance to hold them all to account?
