A Queensland man accused of throwing a bucket of water on his neighbour has been cleared, after the magistrate believed his claim he was aiming for her barking dogs. 9News

The court was today told Kym McEvoy was standing on her Broadbeach patio with her dog Dougal when she got an unexpected drenching.

Looking up, she claims she saw Grant Trost in the apartment above, holding a now-empty bucket and “smirking”.Mr Trost admitted he threw a bucket of water over the balcony but claimed it went nowhere near Ms McEvoy, and instead got her dog. “My client didn't have any intention to throw it on her it was simply to quieten down the dogs that were making excessive noise in the courtyard,” his lawyer Farshad Sarabi said.He pleaded not guilty to a charge of common assault.

A magistrate today said she wasn’t satisfied that the bucket of water was thrown at Ms McEvoy and acquitted Mr Trost of any wrongdoing.

Some owners are so freaking stupid & deaf they can be inside their house with their dog barking all day . It does my head in how stupid people are today and councils ridiculous requirements for proof of dogs barking is why people are losing their shit with frustration

🙄
