Former Associate Justice and Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales handled with dignity and grace under pressure the bullying by Hong Kong, a special autonomous region (SAR) of China, when it barred her from entering Hong Kong, Senator Panfilo M. Lacson said yesterday.

Morales apparently earned the ire of the Chinese government when she and former Department of Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert del Rosario filed charges against it for alleged crimes against humanity in the West Philippine Sea .‘’It is the prerogative of the issuing country to accept or deny the entry of a visitor.

‘’The incident, however, did not take away anything from her the grace under pressure and dignity as a freedom-loving Filipino who vows to continue even with greater vigor and determination what she and ex-Secretary Albert Del Rosario have started,’’ he stressed ‘’We can only wish the two patriots had more tomorrows than yesterdays, or at least live much, much longer to do even more for our country,’’ he added.
