A television station in Alabama has refused to broadcast an episode of beloved kid’s cartoon Arthur because it featured a gay wedding.

The episode ‘Mr Ratburn and the Special Someone’ saw Arthur's teacher Mr Ratburn marry Patrick the aardvark. The American program aired nationally, but Alabama Public Television decided to show a re-run instead.

APT director of programming Mike McKenzie defended the decision, saying children should be able to watch shows on the station without supervision. Gay rights group GLAAD has slammed the decision, calling it ‘mean spirited’. PBS, which makes the Arthur series, told People magazine that its program aims to reflect the ‘diverse communities’ of children who watch the show.

How about we let kids just be kids. More socialist driven political correctness. It’s happening in schools too. Children need education not indoctrination.

Breaking news!

I remember a storyline of that show where the mom went to work and the kids life fell apart. You think they may have freed women from the cartoon apron strings first. Nope straight from 1955 to woke.

Thank you Alabama. 👍

Right wing snowflakes 🙄
