By Karoun Demirjian Karoun Demirjian Congressional reporter focusing on national security Email Bio Follow May 22 at 8:40 AM The House Intelligence Committee will not enforce a subpoena against Attorney General William P. Barr as planned Wednesday, after the Justice Department agreed at the 11th hour to produce the redacted material and underlying information from the special counsel’s report that the panel sought, albeit more slowly than it wanted.
Schiff added that he expects the “initial production” of providing the committee with 12 categories of counterintelligence and foreign intelligence material from special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s probe of election interference by Russia would “be completed by the end of next week.” “To be clear should the Committee take the precipitous and unnecessary action of recommending a contempt finding or other enforcement action against the attorney general, then the Department will not likely be able to continue to work with the Committee to accommodate its interest in these materials,” Boyd wrote.
But holding off on the subpoena puts Schiff somewhat at odds with the rest of the House Democratic conference, whose members have been agitating for impeachment proceedings against the president as other panels’ efforts to secure materials and witnesses are met with recalcitrance from the administration.House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has resisted such calls for impeachment, even as pressure builds to take some action.
INDICTBARR
What's the delay about? Is the crooked AG going to redact the requested material so it hides crimes?
So this is how our Govt works now? Not by rule of law but by horse trading in the back room? Schiff is going to get chumped by Boyd ....
STALL, DELAY, STALL, DELAY, ETC, ETC ETC.........................
Democratic leadership will be the death of me. They are so weak.
“Schiff made his case for seeing the ... materials on the grounds that the Mueller report deals w/ counterintelligence matters — & the Intelligence Committee has a legal right to view materials pertaining to counterintelligence, whether they originated w: a grand jury or not.” ⚖️
This surprises me a little.
Not a single Democrat has taken their open opportunity to review the complete unredacted Mueller report. This is all just a facade. Can't see how average Americans could ever support the Dems.
Should have arrested him..
Me looking for spines anywhere in DC
!!!
As an aside, nobody can credibly contend that Congress does not have a PROCEDURAL DUE PROCESS RIGHT to the UNADULTERATED Mueller Report for the PURPOSE of weighing its prescribed impeachment powers. Get real.
This is turning into a bad comedy show. The fundamental questions is: why?

Great news for Republicans: Fred Keller has just won the hard fought for Pennsylvania Congressional contest in a LANDSLIDE, over 70% of the vote. Thanks to the thousands who showed up for the Rally last night. Congratulations to Fred and his wonderful family!
This better be the UNADULTERATED VERSION of the Mueller Report.
