Delphine Reculeau of the World Organization Against Torture, meanwhile, encouraged activists and defenders to educate the public on the important role of human rights in their daily lives. "The issue here is really to reach out to our constituency and to work with them as well. And the challenge to our civil society, to the Filipinos, and to other countries is to try to reach out to the ordinary citizens," Reculeau said.
