A U.S. federal judge will hear arguments about a Mississippi law that would ban most abortions once a fetal heartbeat can be detected.

JACKSON, Miss. -- Inside Mississippi's only abortion clinic, administrator Shannon Brewer has been fielding phone calls from women who want to know whether they can still terminate a pregnancy if they think they might be more than a few weeks along.

The Jackson Women's Health Organization says the law is unconstitutional under the U.S. Supreme Court's 1973 Roe v. Wade decision, which legalized abortion nationwide. Governors in Georgia, Kentucky and Ohio have also signed bans on abortion once a fetal heartbeat is detected. Missouri lawmakers passed an eight-week ban Friday. Other states, including Louisiana, are considering similarly restrictive laws. None of the laws that have been signed have yet taken effect. All are expected to be blocked while challenges work their way through courts.

This is all part of the game the republicans are playing to get this up to the Supreme Court of the US where they have already stacked the deck. All part of the regression of America.

My new groundbreaking bipartisan compromise proposal is that The Right agrees to end all federal funding for the NRA while The Left agrees to end all federal funding for Planned Parenthood.

Alabama’s abortion law draws some criticism, mostly silence from national RepublicansAlabama’s governor on Wednesday signed the bill to ban abortions, except when a mother’s life is in jeopardy, in the latest challenge by conservatives to the 1973 landmark U.S. Supreme Court decision Roe v. Wade that established a woman’s right to terminate a pregnancy. Good thing this is Canada and not Alabama USA. That won't stop MSM from using it as click bait or self serving POS using it to manipulate people though. It is to set up a 10th amendment ruling
