Tally at 95%; Comelec still waiting to count 1.68M votes from 5 Certificates of Canvass

“That is our position at the moment. I pray the commission will consider our appeal to proclaim at least six winning candidates,” Basar said in a manifestation. The Comelec has twice missed informal deadlines announced by its spokesman — the first within last week and then yesterday — but the poll body has yet to exceed the 10 days it took to proclaim the 12 winners of the Senate elections in 2016.

The so-called “Magic 12” currently comprises reelectionist Sen. Cynthia Villar, on top with 25,116,310 votes, followed by fellow reelectionist Mary Grace Poe and former presidential aide Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go .
