Earlier, the Prosecution Counsel, ASP. Benson Emuerhi, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on April 30, at 10 a.m. at No. 15, Community Avenue St., Irawo, Ikorodu, Lagos.
Emuerhi alleged that the defendant unlawfully defiled the girl by forcefully having sexual intercourse with her. He said the defendant was apprehended by the police and the case was referred to the Gender Section at Ikeja Police Command for further investigation. Emuerhi said that the offence contravened the provisions of Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.
