Razaq Atunwa vs Abdulrazaq: What happened in court on Wednesday

The All Progressives Congress, APC, emerged winner of the governorship election.The ruling PDP made the call at the commencement of the pre-hearing trial yesterday at the tribunal.

Counsel to Atunwa and PDP in the state, Kingsley Odeh, said that the winner of the poll, Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, of the APC was not qualified to contest the poll.“He gave a false certificate to INEC.” At the pre-hearing session meant to adopt petitioners’ answers to pre-hearing information sheet, applications before the tribunal were filed and adopted.

The lead judge in the tribunal, Justice Bassey Effiong, who warned counsels against time wasting, insisting that the tribunal would not extend the 14-day period for the pre-hearing trial.
