U.S. abortion-rights activists vowed on Wednesday to challenge an Alabama bill t...

- U.S. abortion-rights activists vowed on Wednesday to challenge an Alabama bill that would ban abortions, even in cases of rape and incest, the latest attempt by conservatives to reverse a 1973 Supreme Court ruling establishing a woman’s right to abortion.

Leana Wen, president of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, said her group would challenge the measure in court if it took effect. Planned Parenthood joined the American Civil Liberties Union on Wednesday in filing a legal challenge to Ohio’s recent ban on abortions after six weeks. “The idea that supposed leaders have passed a law that would criminalize a physician for assisting a woman on something that she, in consult with her physician, with her God, with her faith leader, has made the decision to do, that is her body that you would criminalize,” U.S. Senator Kamala Harris of California, one of the large field of hopefuls, said at a town hall on Wednesday morning in Nashua, New Hampshire.

But supporters of the Alabama ban said the right to life of the fetus transcends other rights, an idea they would like tested at the Supreme Court.

It’s great that we are standing up for the truly innocent, abortion as birth control is just wrong, I hope we can this disgusting era of American history behind us for good

The women of America, must take to the streets. And fight for there right. Let the women of America, take the lead in women's rights, like the freedom riders did in the 1960s . These men are no better than ISIS did to women in the middle East,

Pro-choice activists should be smart in challenging this law because that’s what pro-life activists want. They should challenge the punishment aspect to prevent doctors from being prosecuted for performing abortions, making the law toothless but still technically on the books

Bring it. Reversal of Roe v Wade coming. The end of the travesty of killing babies, 1 million a year for 'privacy' rights. Our self inflicted genocide of 60 humans will soon come to an end.

Ask for a veto GovernorKayIvey

This is Shariah/Huddud/Tazir law imposed on the women of Alabama GovernorKayIvey HB314 BoycottAlabama

Fight them! Nonsense anti-abortion law!

Most abortions are not made due to rape or incest. Slutty step-sister knows better. 99% of abortions have nothing to do with rape or incest.

Don't challenge too quickly, that is what they want you to do.

And here we, go!!

How does Alabama's near-total abortion ban bill compare to Georgia's 'fetal heartbeat' law?Georgia passed one of the most restrictive abortion bills in the US. How does Alabama's abortion bill legislators are currently weighing stack up? The GOP war on women is real. They believe what we do with our bodies is the business of old white men, not our own. Sure, StaceyAbrams legitimately lost the Georgia Governor's Office Election 🙄 Just go to a different state if you dont like it. I think in Virginia you can off the little guy until he's 5.

Alabama ban on nearly all abortions in GOP governor's handsAlabama Gov. Kay Ivey will now decide whether to sign legislation that would outlaw almost all abortions in the state. If that Alabama Governor has any sense she won't sign that abortion bill. I hope she doesn't sign it. America going back to 1901. Might as well try and revoke women’s rights to vote which was legalised after 1920.
