After learning he could face a Labour disciplinary hearing for sharing one image that was criticised for implying approval of violence against transgender women, he quit the party on Tuesday night, saying he planned to carry on campaigning for women

Lord Moonie of Bennochy, who describes himself as a campaigner for women’s rights, was previously reprimanded for retweeting controversial posts on transgender issues.
