- Alabama Governor Kay Ivey on Wednesday was mulling whether to sign the United States’ strictest abortion law, part of a multistate effort to get the U.S. Supreme Court to reconsider women’s constitutional right to abortion.

The Republican governor is a strong opponent of abortion but has so far withheld comment on whether she would sign the bill. The Alabama bill goes further, banning abortions at any time. Those performing abortions would be committing a felony, punishable by 10 to 99 years in prison. A woman who receives an abortion would not be held criminally liable.

But supporters of the Alabama ban said the right to life of the fetus transcends other rights, an idea they would like tested at the Supreme Court.

It’s official. United States of Dystopia

This law has been SIGNED! This terrifying law MAKES a woman carry and deliver an INCEST AND RAPE baby to full term and deliver it! That is making the women SUFFER over and over! Rape the men who are behind this barbaric bill. Make them raise these babies!

She is a disgrace to her gender if she signs it. GovernorKayIvey

Veto it now..

Hope she's raising taxes to fund all the orphanages Alabama is going to have to build. Hope she's getting ready for the lawsuits brought against her suing for child support. Hope she's actually thinking this through.

The governor needs to respect those who elected him to uphold ALL their rights. He needs to represent the entire constituency. Government by the people, for the people.

Since we are rolling back the clock, maybe just go back to your old flag huh

YOUR religious beliefs are NOT universal, much like our healthcare system. Who pays the highest price for a child? WOMEN!

It would be great if they would also mull over and comment on this list of things men can do to help kids.
