The Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday restrained the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and other agencies involved in the probe of Senate President Bukola Saraki over corruption allegation

s.

In a ruling delivered by the judge on returning to the courtroom after taking about 45 minutes to prepare it in his chambers, the court likened the restraining order issued on Tuesday to an order directing the parties to the suit to maintain the status quo in respect of the probe. He ruled, “There is no doubt that the Fundamental Rights Enforcement Procedure Rules 2009 is a special proceeding with its stated rules and procedure.

“To do otherwise and not to restrain the respondents by asking them not to stay action will result in the court being faced with a fait accompli.”

This will not work .he will be probed.

It’s a order that the partisan corruption agencies must obey, don’t underestimate the power of this order

If your hands are clean you dont need to go to court. bukolasaraki tell Nigerians how you acquire those houses and other assets.

I heard of a recent that the clerk of the Senate arrested and is under serious questioning, EFCC even held his international passport.....

Only him no? i think Nigerians heard a lot of EFCC cases I am opinion to leave the man alone since the case go through into the highest court in the country... lot of other politician out there with fraud case we don't hear any thing about again

When judiciary becomes a state tools to avoid probing of alleged corrupt public officers, just know there is inevitable doom. Is Saraki a thief, why did he went to court to stop the probing, if he is clean. Shame on him

Court will always bend the law for Big thief not to go to jail but will not stop petty thief on the street to go to jail Useless court

Better headlines - Court prevent another witch-hunt. 🚶

APCNigeria ProfOsinbajo ogundamisi renoomokri officialEFCC MBuhari .. Are some people above the law in Nigeria? Are the laws selective?Where's the change? Where's the fight against corruption?Where's next level? Are laws made for the poor and weak people..God is watching all

rahmansani130 Institutional clash of power

Is Saraki above the law? Why is the law protecting him?

Yamayama country😂😂

There should be a law, restraining order and punishment for judges who seat and rule on issues as thus.

MBuhari ProfOsinbajo SERAPNigeria FYA

Going by some comments here, u would agree with me that some oldies n youths re one the biggest problem we have in Nigeria not our leaders per say, u can’t have useless n idiotic people supporting as well as celebrating a criminal n u think everything is ok. KawaransStillRemember

Ghen ghen, Above the Law... Outlaw!

Saraki on the verge of joining Apc.. pDP faithful will soon start insulting him.. Hahahaha

After dining with the President

And the witch hunt has officially ended He’s been probed before up to the Supreme Court and was aqquited by the Supreme Court so what’s magu’s obsession with him 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️

Do they obey court order?

Saint Saraki

The judiciary has become the stumbling block to success in the fight against corruption. Should a court ban Security Agencies from carrying out their constitutional duties? Very soon, even armed robbers (who can pay) will use the court to bar the Police from arresting them.

toluogunlesi At a point you begin to wonder, who exactly do the judiciary serve? The nation or the elite?

As uf anyone in government obeys court orders in this country

The 'Onnoghens babes' don come again o. Remember how they 'judicially' helped him out of the CCT assets declaration 'roforofo fight' and the alleged 'trade by barter' arrengee?' Spineless Nigerians go dey dance and hero worship Barawo, Onyinochi, Ole in their backyards!

This are the kind of judgement been passed by our courts that makes it difficult for executive to obey their orders sometimes.. 'You can't fight corruption in a corrupt system with due process' an established criminal can get favourable judgement in Nigeria

EVERYONE IS A SCAM... What a Shame.

I, humbly ask the EFCC, ICPC and DSS to be good sportsmen by eating their humble pie at the hands of Saraki who has serially defeated all their attempts to criminalize him.

Sound Like a good news

Jankara court. Is he above the law?
