Emefiele: Agbor Progressive Initiative demands withdrawal of court action vanguardngr.com vanguardnews

API in a statement, yesterday, expressed shock that Uboh who is also from Agbor like Mr Emefiele would want to jeopardise the interest of his kinsman.

The statement by the group’s president, William Eghebi, urged Uboh to immediately withdraw the court action in order not to face sanction from the community. He said, “Ordinarily, we wouldn’t have bordered replying Uboh for what the average Agbor man in particular and the entire Ika people in general viewed as noble and rare privilege that the President has accorded the Ika people to have one of their own serve a second term as CBN governor which has not happened for quite some time.

“For Uboh, a fellow Ika and Agbor man to want to jeopardise and frustrate the President’s good gesture for whatever reason is, to say the least, unfortunate and the height of his anti-patriotic stand against his motherland.“We in API unequivocally frown at the action by Uboh and charge him to immediately withdraw the suit filed against the CBN governor because the action is not in the interest of the Agbor Kingdom and Ika Nation and Nigeria.

“We also want to use this medium to express our profound gratitude to President Muhammadu Buhari for the honour he has done us as Agbor people and for reposing this confidence in one of our own to serve a second term as the CBN governor.”
