A 47-year-old man has been charged with assaulting a 14-year-old during an argument. 9News

A Melbourne man will today face court accused of assaulting a teenage schoolgirl in the carpark of a McDonald’s in the city’s south-west.

The 47-year-old was arrested by Victorian Police on Tuesday after officers were called to the fast food restaurant on Synott Street about 4.40pm. The man was arrested this week after allegedly arguing and scuffling with the girl, while bystanders attempted to stop him. In mobile vision taken from the scene, the man is allegedly seen in a scuffle with another person as bystanders attempt to stop the argument.
