Billionaire businessman and comeback candidate Clive Palmer has lost a bid to change the way Australian political tragics celebrate federal election night.

Clive Palmer's attempt to delay the publication of early results on federal election night has been shot down by the High Court.

But the full bench of the High Court ruled the Australian Electoral Commission does not need to wait for stragglers in WA before broadcasting indications in east coast seats. Mr Palmer argued releasing more detailed data earlier in the evening could influence people yet to vote.

Clive Palmer loses High Court challenge to delay election polling resultsA challenge from Clive Palmer to ban the Australian Electoral Commission from revealing preference results before all polls have closed is dismissed by the High Court. 😁👏👏👏👏😁 Yup. He is a loser As we all knew he would. He’s such a f*cking loser at everything he touches... Maybe the High Court judges should have forced him to pay up for wasting their time too. When will he pay his workers the money he owes them.
