Journalists for Human Rights (jhrnews) gets $11.7 million to support program focused on women and girls

Journalists for Human Rights received on Friday $11.7 million from Global Affairs Canada to put towards a program aimed at furthering the rights of women and girls overseas.

The program has three primary goals: strengthening journalist training with an emphasis on women’s and girl’s rights, increasing public input in decision-making, and increasing the participation of women and girls in public life.
