Opposition Leader Rachel Notley has sent a letter to the Justice Department’s senior civil servant calling for a special prosecutor to oversee RCMP investigations into alleged voting and funding irregularities in the 2017 race

Notley says Kenney and new Justice Minister Doug Schweitzer – who ran and lost to Kenney – need to be at arm’s length from investigations or prosecutions. She has also written to the ethics commissioner asking for a ruling on whether Kenney and Schweitzer, who were sworn in this week, are in a conflict of interest given their participation in the leadership race.

As part of the RCMP investigation, officers searched UCP backbencher Peter Singh’s Calgary auto repair shop last month, and Notley says he should not sit in the UCP caucus until that matter is resolved. Alberta’s elections commissioner is also reviewing the 2017 leadership contest and has levelled fines over illegal funding for Calgary businessman Jeff Callaway, who was one of the candidates.

Rediculous left wing losers trying to question massive rejection of NDP!

Apparently the Rebel is wanting an investigation on Rachel's antics as well. Wonder whom will be exposed more?

Don't waste the tax payer money.

She's right! And if they have any integrity they should have no issue with it.

last gasp...

To all the trolls saying get over it. You're supporting a man who is literally under a criminal investigation. If that is ok with you, you're judgement is not to be trusted.

This entire thread is a troll farm.

A special prosecutor is needed...when you cheat to win a title you don't have the skills to fulfill, plus steal email addresses and launder money. It requires scrutiny beyond to protect this province and it's resources. To say otherwise is irresponsible. jkenney upc ABLeg

Terrilltf Right. You mindless cons at the Globe searched far and wide for the most unflattering picture you could find. The Globe and Rosedale.

RachelNotley You lost. Get over it. Just go away and let the people who really care about Alberta and Canada clean up your mess.

Let me guess, Hillary is your hero.... There has to be collusion....

Sorry Rachel but your out of ammunition, you used your last torpedo on the oil patch.

Sure they do. RCMPshould be busy in Ottawa first

Let it go Rachel and keep some dignity.

While they are at it they can oversee the investigation into the sexual claims that were raised against her members of legislature.

The SpeakerPelosi of Alberta. She still can accept defeat graciously. I wonder if the loss of the election has caused some sort of mentalmanifestation to occur.

Interesting how the Leftist, Socialists can never excerpt the election results, and accept defeat graciously and take the high road.

WHY NOT INVESTIGATE THE 'HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSING!!!' COMMUNIST CHINESE PARTY IN CANADA AND SEE WHO AND WHAT POLITICAL (ALL!!!) PARTIES HAVE BEEN PAID OFF!!!!!

Poor losers. Who cares, it's not like having and hiring foreign interest groups against pipelines to support a politician! Hmm. Who would do that?

Is this going to be like Trump/Democrats?... sore losers 😂

Bitter. So Bitter...
