The 14-year-old boys deny murdering the schoolgirl on 14 May 2018. One of them has also pleaded not guilty to violently sexually assaulting her.
At 5.15pm there is a further sighting of the two figures Garda Timmins said he believed to be Boy B and Ana walking across playing fields.Garda Timmins said footage taken just after 6pm showed a figure walking from the park carrying a bag in his left hand.The jury has been told they will hear more detail about the footage tomorrow.
Sgt Hussey said Boy B appeared uncertain and confused when it was pointed out they were walking a different route to the one he had indicated earlier. Sgt Hussey said Boy A told him that while they had been walking, Ana had asked him out but he told her he was not interested. He said she was upset and that she turned and left and returned back the way they had come.
The sergeant said he was unhappy with the accounts of the boys and said they seemed to lack consistency, so it was decided to bring them both to the garda station to get statements in writing.
It must be unbearable for her parents and family to have the nightmare relived like this.
