Mum of Ana Kriegel tells murder trial of awful bullying suffered by her daughter

The mother of teenage murder victim Anastasia Kriegel has told a murder trial of the horror bullying suffered by her daughter.

Geraldine outlined that Ana was targeted by bullies and also on social media platform snapchat that were "explicit" and "very frightening".On another occasion four boys, unconnected to the trial, attacked Ana as she walked home on Halloween, 2017 night.Geraldine said that Ana said responded with a no and in a scared state fled after one of the boys "slapped her on the bum".

In moving evidence she spoke about her daughter's love of dance and singing and that she volunteered for events in her school, which cannot be named.The mother said her daughter had struggled as a child with hearing difficulties and had a tumour removed from her ear.Geraldine said that Ana was adopted by her and her husband Patrique from Russia when she was two and a half years old.

He said that her naked body had suffered a devastating violent assault and the scene was “bloody and blood splattered in a downstairs room not much bigger than the jury box.” He said that a forensic examination found items of clothing and DNA traces that would match with Boy A. Mr Grehan added that it would be alleged that the actual plan was to facilitate the joint enterprise murder of Ana.
