Mrs Kriégel said Ana had been cyber-bullied by older pupils from secondary school, who had sent awful messages through Snapchat

Anastasia Kriégel's mother has told the Central Criminal Court that her daughter had been bullied endlessly but was not suicidal.

She said her daughter loved dancing, and would spend hours in the front room listening to music, dancing, practising her moves and singing. She was also an incredible swimmer, her mother said. Her mother said Ana was happy in primary school but had a few difficulties in 6th class. Her resource teacher was concerned about her going to secondary school - the court heard that the teacher felt Ana was so vulnerable and innocent in her manner that children might make a mockery of her and tease her.

Because of this, she said she took Ana's phone and iPad every night and checked through her accounts. She said Ana understood this was for her protection.

This kind of bullying needs to be addressed in school pronto - sanction parents because it is the only way. Kids are left completely to their own devices on social media. This case sickens me already and it’s a shame these two can’t be named!!

Your right Andrew they should be prosecuted they should be at least named and shamed they are disgusting creatures !

This Is heartbreaking that is a very tough read. My heart goes out to her and her family. 😞

Horrible children - as cruel as you can get

Why are these so called ‘cyber bullies’ not prosecuted?

That is very tough to read, the poor child,

Cyber publishers have to share some responsibility with facilitating online abuse.

Ana Kriégel murder trial told she was lured to violent deathAna Kriégel was lured to her violent death by two best friends, one of whom violently sexually assaulted her before killing her, it is alleged. Baffles me that these two boys will have their identity kept from the public. The little sickos shouldn’t have the option just because of their age People will always prey on the vulnerable and in this case shockingly so, god bless her. Judge should tell all media to be very careful in reporting this case
