The Jiangmen Intermediate People's Court on Tuesday sentenced 11 people who produced more than 63 kilograms of the illegal drug. Among them were one American and four Mexicans.
All were given life or suspended death sentences. The court statement did not make clear which individual received what sentence.Another person, identified as Wu Ziping, was also sentenced to death. The court did not give Wu's nationality. China sentenced Canadian Robert Lloyd Schellenberg to death in January in a separate drug smuggling case that strained relations.

It is not up to other countries to change a countries laws. The choices are don't travel to some countries that have rule and laws you don't care for and/or don't commit a crime and know the laws.

Real penalties for crimes. You go to another country and break there laws, then you get there justice system. To bad so sad, don’t expect the Mickey Mouse sentences that Canada gives out. Other countries don’t give all the rights to criminals
