Putting women who have been sexually assaulted through another kind of scrutiny is hard to stomach when rape continues to carry few consequences for the rapist

Rape is a crime of opportunism. The chances of a man being prosecuted and found guilty of rape are low. Despite more women speaking out, despite the #MeToo movement and chat about consent, the grim reality is that the justice system is failing women. While more rapes are being reported, the number of suspected rapists being charged by the Crown Prosecution Service is the lowest in a decade.

I hope they are going to ask the accused to also hand over their phones

Here is why it's done. Read this and you will understand.

Men. No means no. Even if you are in a sexual situation with a person and up to that point it has been consensual. You won't die of an erection.

Fuck justice. Men don't deserve a single thing let alone a fair trial. If a women says he raped her, that's enough to destroy a his life.

Rape is evil. however and a big however there have been far too many women jailed of late for lying about being raped. Only last month we had one such woman trying to appeal over a 10 year sentence for lying she had been sexually molested by 6 and raped by 9 others over 3 years

there is another way and Forces are seeing that so people shouldn't be scared. A new system allows Police to target only the data they want or capture it live on the screen while they're with the victim. Quicker and much less impactful.

I think this notion is utterly preposterous! It's just the sort of thing the policeforces WOULD propose & it shows the very deep underlying misogyny embedded in the institutionally sexist police. Why else, how else, would Mr Plod even so much as dare to propose such stupidity?

Any man rumoured by women to have committed rape should be immediately imprisoned without trial indefinitely

We all know that women never lie, so why should they have to provide any evidence to prove their case?

That girls and women are told not to seek counselling after being raped because those notes are subject to discovery during an investigation is horrifying.

Do they want justice or not?

Asking rape victims to appear on court is a further trial. Asking rape victims to cooperate with the police is a further trial. Asking rape victims to identify rape suspects is a further trial. As much as I’d like to trust the plaintiff, the plaintiff has to provide the evidence.

'she sent a suggestive text message last year....she asked for it !....'😡
