A court has granted a man accused of trying to kidnap a six-year-old girl at an Adelaide caravan park permission to return to his Queensland home.The court has previously heard Mr Toft told the girl there was a"clown in the camp kitchen"Ronald John Toft, 73, from Lucinda, north of Townsville, is yet to plead to an aggravated count of attempting to detain a person to commit an indictable offence.
Police have alleged that he approached the young girl near a playground at West Beach Caravan Park at about 11:00am on Good Friday and asked her to walk away with him.Prosecutors told his first court hearing last week thatand asked her if she wanted to go and see it. The court heard the girl's mother was nearby and intervened when she saw the pair walking off together.after falling down and did not say anything about a clown.
You reckon it's the first time this guy has done this? I'm scared to think what he's been up to in his life. And what a stunning decision by the Judge. The world gone mad.
