Former deputy director of public prosecutions Nomgcobo Jiba has hit back at President Cyril Ramaphosa and the Mokgoro inquiry into her fitness for office, saying the inquiry’s report contained “numerous elementary but gross errors of judgment”.
Later in her statement, she said she was raising “these preliminary legal points to highlight my intention to clear my name and the legacy of my professional commitment as a prosecutor of over 27 years”. Booysen is expected to stand trial for the killings - along with a number of co-accused - in October. However a charge of racketeering - authorised by Jiba - was set aside by the high court as irrational, because the documents upon which Jiba said she had based her decision did not justify a racketeering charge.
“Whatever the Enquiry and the President’s conclusions are on my decision regarding Booysen, there are over twenty families in Cato Manor whose children were gunned down in police raids that must still be explained to the public through our court system. The blood of those killed in these raids will continue to seek justice until Booysen takes the stand to explain his role.”
I wish Jiba avoid parliament for now and instead engage legal route if she is to win.
If she pays for herself and all other costs when, not if, she looses she can go to whatever court she wants for any number of times.
I think I’m starting to understand anc parlance Engage= sit and convince other criminals Apply my mind= kick the can down the road till it’s forgotten Balance me= your argument sucks Transformation = my plascon colour palette earns more than yours, I win
Jiba must fire her lawyer for giving her false hope so he can make more money out of her.She must ask McBride about parliament committee which is ANC majority and despiteful DA.ANC would affirm Cyril while DA avenge Breytenbach.Jiba's intuition misleading her
Whose gonna tell her . Parliament is not reopening the hearing , it is considering Matamela’s decision for endorsement .

The principle of prosecutorial independence must be exercised within the confined of the law, it must not be used for nefarious activities.
