THUNDER BAY — Police have arrested a man in connection with an incident that saw a security guard taken to hospital for treatment of a stab wound.
The incident happened just after 2:00 a.m. Thursday outside but on the property of Spence Court, an apartment complex on Amelia Street West. Thunder Bay Police said officers responding to a report of an assault found that the guard had injuries consistent with a stabbing. Police and paramedics provided medical assistance at the scene before the victim was transferred to hospital with wounds that are not considered life-threatening.The 33-year-old city resident is charged with assault with a weapon, uttering threats, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and four counts of breach of probation.
CEO Bill Bradica said "Our thoughts are with the security guard that has been injured...We thank the Thunder Bay Police Service for the timely arrest."
