Governor Hyacinth Alia has vowed to bring those behind Wednesday’s violent protest in Sankera, Ukum Local Government Area, of the state to justice.
Governor Alia who led a government delegation for on-the-spot assessment of the situation expressed shock at the level of destruction in the town. He stated that “the curfew imposed on the area from 6pm to 6am daily will remain in place until further notice.”The Governor commended the security agencies in the state for standing strong in ensuring that peace and normalcy returned to the area, and called on all stakeholders to embrace peace and give progress a chance.
