The lawyer of rape-accused televangelist Tim Omotoso has called on the Eastern Cape High Court in Gqeberha to render the trial unfair, claiming it has been"tainted by corrupt prosecutors".
In his application to the court on Thursday, Peter Daubermann also asked for the evidence of the witnesses in the case to be ruled inadmissible because he said some of the complainants were interviewed by the prosecutors in question, advocates Nceba Ntelwa and Ishmet Cerfontein. The allegations stem from Ntelwa allegedly telling a witness not to deviate from her police statement, in which she did not mention an alleged rape, although she informed Cerfontein about it.South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future.
