Labor has begun to ramp up its campaign on the back of two consecutive long weekends, committing $660 million in funds to combat family and domestic violence.
The package stands as double the commitment made by the Coalition and will include $90 million for legal assistance and $78 million for refuges and emergency accommodation. The comprehensive plan also includes funding for 20,000 emergency support packages of up to $10,000 each for people impacted by family and domestic violence. Image: News Corp Australia
