The Louisiana law mandating the commandments’ display fails to further historical education.

The Ten Commandments are seen as part of a religious mural in Georgetown, Ohio, on June 26, 2024. on behalf of nine Louisiana families who contend that the law “unconstitutionally pressures students into religious observance, veneration and adoption of the state’s favored religious scripture.”that classroom displays of the Ten Commandments were unconstitutional.

All that verbiage could be a bit much for the elementary school set, though. It’s bad enough they have to learn about adultery and wonder what a “manservant” and “maidservant” are .Perhaps some wisdom from more recent fictional characters like Yoda or Dory would make a kid-friendlier commandment wall.
