The Baldwin County Drug Task Force performed a traffic stop on the four suspects and deputies found fentanyl in the car.
That's been the law in Florida for years as part of the state's efforts to keep drugs off the streets. This is the message the Baldwin County Assistant District Attorney had for dealers after arresting these four individuals. "We're gonna do all that we can to decrease the prevalence of fentanyl in Florida and that means if you're dealing fentanyl, you are killing people you are gonna be put in jail," DeSantis said. That law increased the mandatory minimum sentence for trafficking fentanyl to 3-7 years for 4-14 grams. The law also added methamphetamine to a list of controlled substances.
