In an appearance on CNN Tuesday morning, legal analyst and attorney Elie Honig revealed the 'biggest surprise' in Monday's Supreme Court presidential immunity ruling.The case arose after Trump was indicted on four counts of allegedly working to overturn the results of the 2020 election in the run-up to the January 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol. Trump was facing the charges as the frontrunner for the Republican presidential nomination.
'When you're trying a case as a prosecutor, you're often presenting information that's not a crime, in and of itself, but it's necessary to tell the story and explain the narrative, explain the context.'A lower court must now determine if the allegations aimed at the former president in the federal case into the events leading up to the January 6 attack amount to official acts by Trump while he was in the White House.
