A teenage girl was stopped by police on the M6 and found to be more than two times the legal drink-drive limit.
Officers said the driver, a 17-year-old girl, was breathalysed at the scene and provided a reading of 95. The legal limit is 35.She was arrested on suspicion of driving with excess alcohol and has since been charged with driving with excess alcohol. The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was bailed to appear at Preston Youth Court on Tuesday, July 16.
