New York is also home to the second most distilleries in the U.S.

A change in New York's liquor laws could help customers get their favorite spirits without leaving home.

David and Dorit Nahmias are the co-owners of a small distillery in Yonkers that produces a traditional Moroccan spirit called "Mahia."The proposed legislation that would allow craft spirit distillers to ship liquor, cider, and other alcohols directly to consumers would be a game changer, according to David and Dorit Nahmias.

State Senator Andrew Gounardes said his colleagues and those in the assembly already approved the measure, which now awaits the Governor's signature.
