There are 29 bills from the last administration waiting on the President’s desk to be signed into law – with some being contentious among GNU partners.

Now that the President’s Cabinet will consist of a multitude of parties with varying political ideologies within the Government of National Unity —who have been vocal in their opposition to some of these bills—eyes will be on what happens to these bills.

In practice, the President does not automatically sign a bill into law and applies his mind before doing so.
